Psalm 104:35
May my meditation be pleasing to him, for I rejoice in the Lord.

I recently got an apple watch for my birthday and I found a little app on it that reminds me to take one minute every day to pause and breathe. Yup. Breathe. Because sometimes I forget to do that I guess. But seriously, there are all kinds of studies that link the ability to pause and meditate with controlled breathing to better energy, focus, and overall heath. I could just stand there and breathe but the Bible introduced (well over 2,000 years ago) the concept of meditating for a purpose. Taking a minute and connecting with God through thoughts that are pleasing to Him, that focus to His word, and drive us in a direction of His will. So now, when my app reminds me to breathe, I take a moment and pray. One minute a day seems too little. How are your meditations? Are you taking time to breathe with God? Are your thoughts pointed to Him or yourself?
