Ephesians1:7 NKJV
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace
God graciously graces us with His grace. In the middle of our faults, our pain, our failures, God graciously graces us with His grace. Even before we turn to Him and repent with a grateful heart, God graciously graces us with His grace. When I am an overall crappy human being and a worse follower of Jesus, God graciously graces me with His grace. Everything about reconciling me to Him is done through His grace. It's not about me. It's not about you. It's about Him and what He did for us. The crux of everything rests in His ability to forgive our sins and He does this according to His grace. Grace means getting something we do not deserve. We do not deserve Him, His forgiveness, or His sacrifice. We cannot earn it. We cannot prove ourselves worthy of it. He graciously graces us with His grace in order to redeem us from our sin. From ourselves. You cannot save yourself from yourself. You cannot work yourself into a better position with God by doing this better, or that better. God graciously graces us with His grace. This means that He is in control. He is bigger than you. Will you let Him graciously grace you with His grace or will you continue to fight His will for you by trying to control Him and conform Him to your will? To be truly free we have to yield to the waterfall of His grace.
