Psalm 82:3-4 ESV
Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.

Today is Memorial Day in the United States. Last night we took a moment of silence during our service to remember those who went before us. Those who willing laid down their lives for the cause of freedom and justice. When I was a civilian I remember many Memorial days passing by where I was just thankful for the day off from work. I paid little thought to those who gave it all for my security. Now that I serve in a foreign land in the footsteps of those great men and women I am reminded consistently of the call that each Soldier has. God calls us to bring justice, uphold rights, rescue, and deliver all people. Soldiers are the right hand of God in this. All gave some... Some gave all. Take a moment to reflect on this verse in silence and remember.
